Today was very eventful. FINALLY had a perfect jam session. It’s amazing how quick my friends picked up bass and drums. But seriously the material we came up was amazing. The energy was perfect! We didn’t waste any time playing other stuff. Just all original. Plus we got an extra half hour to play because the person in charge ran late.
Then later on I just chilled with some friends I haven’t hung out with in a while.
I absolutely love when songs are crafted so well and the instruments are layered to perfection. The entire time while you’re listening you feel as if you are apart of that song.
I automatically have respect for anyone that plays a fretless bass/guitar. There is so much precision involved with playing one of those. It’s kind of crazy.
There’s something about a chick bassist…
that is just so hot. I have no idea why. It’s just a perfect fit.
Whenever I’m listening to a song I always find the parts where musicians could have added a note or two, a different chord, an octave jump, or a fill to make the riff/progression/part sound a little cooler. Not to say the songs themselves aren’t great the way they are, but I just add in what I’d like to hear if I were the one playing it. Anyone else do this?
