To be completely honest, I’m not really a fan “shredding” or really fast solos. I mean, yes it’s cool and obviously requires serious talent, but I could very much do without it. I’d much rather build up a groovy chord progression. I find melodies that are slower and in a sense sexy work better for me.
The more thought I give it, it might have something to do with my personality. I’m a very chill and relaxed person. When it comes to music I prefer a sound that’s more atmospheric than energetic.
